ABOUT KFA CERTIFICATION

The knowledge of anatomy is essential for fitness professionals, no doubt about it - understanding and applying this knowledge can make a difference in your way to perceive movement, design training, develop motor control and enhance performance skills in any movement discipline.

The KinetiCode® Functional Anatomy certification (KFA) is the theoretical foundation of the K/C Academy, that fully prepares students for further practical educational programs. Additionally it can serve as a refresher or for anyone needing to fulfil the anatomy prerequisite for any kind of movement practices.
KFA develops a unique way to in depth learn the human anatomy of a human body from a movement point of view, creating content for learning faster and more efficiently.
Moreover, it puts anatomy terminologies easily into the context of movement practice.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Dive into the anatomy of muscles with tools that help you visually understand their origin, insertion, function and relationship with other muscle groups.

  • Gain a deeper understanding of how muscles correlate and work together through the kinetic chain of our human body.

  • Understand and explore the skeleton structure and function of the pelvis, spine, feet, knee cups and shoulder girdles.

  • Investigate the two units of the core muscles from the abdominal wall to the intrinsic back muscles.

  • Explore the correlation of different back muscles from the superficial to the deepest layers into the vertebral column.

  • Learn anatomical terminologies, plane of motion and types of muscle contractions

  • Gain tools to create mobility, stability and strength for re-training motor patterns and targeting muscles

  • Learn simple assessments, corrective exercises to develop efficient and functional movement in your training routine and support your anatomical knowledge.

  • Explore anatomy to learn how to rebalance and target muscles more effectively and open your eyes to new possibilities on how to design training programs.
CERTIFICATION

At the end of each course, students have to participate in the exam to complete it.

To be able to be officially certified, students have to pass each exam, which is concluded with a total of 8 exams.
